Vlogging my life on YouTube... in Korean!

September 15, 2025

Exciting news! Your favourite sporadic YouTuber is back on the air! I've made my YouTube comeback after a 2 year child-rearing hiatus. I haven't been able to take my videos seriously during that time because they just all felt a bit meaningless.

I've found a way to catch two rabbits (the Korean way of saying 'killing two birds with one stone') by vlogging in Korean. This way, I satisfy the part of my soul that loves filming, editing, and uploading YouTube videos while also practicing my Korean speaking skills.

I have a big exam coming at the end of the year which I am very nervous about. I think if I have lots of practice speaking about a range of topics in Korean, I won't feel so nervous about forming sentences in my brain to then say out loud with my mouth in front of a real human.

That's the plan anyway.

I'm excxited though. The version of me that came to Korea with a few Korean phrases up her sleeve 8 years ago would be very proud of me now.

It will also be really exciting to watch my progress one year from now.

My main goal is to get better at speaking my mind, practise my pronunciation, and share more about Australian culture to a Korean audience. It would also be nice to give viewers a boost of motivation in their own language learning journey!

Please follow along as I take on a new phase of my Korean language journey. And fail a lot. But in the best way possible!
